Week One- Mustang Minutes

Mustang Minutes

** Mustang Money is HERE!
August just flew by, didn’t it? September is now well underway and hopefully, cooler temperatures are in our future. We can always hope, right?

Our Mustang Money fundraising campaign has started out strong. Thank you to everyone who has donated! So far, we have raised $8,868 towards our goal of $35,000. Mrs. Kapur’s class raised the most funds last week. Sparky will be hanging out in her classroom for the week and the class will get to celebrate with an ice cream party. The fundraising campaign runs through October 16th. Mustang Money is separate from the Class Fund and T-Shirt Fund, so please consider donating to your classroom or class shirt fund even if you don’t want to participate in Mustang Money. Remember, in addition to helping your child’s school, your donation also qualifies as a tax write off.

We have some fun events coming up. This Thursday, September 10th is our first Family Night Out of the year. From 5-7 PM, Chick-fil-A on Mayo Blvd. will be donating a portion of their proceeds from food purchased in the restaurant or at the drive thru to Fireside PTO. This is a wonderful opportunity to feed your family and support the PTO at the same time. We hope to see you there.

Preparations are underway for this year’s BINGO night on Friday, October 2nd. See below for more details. And, on Saturday October 3rd, we will have a fundraiser at Costco on Beardsley Road. For more information, see our event listing on FB.

We have received many questions regarding a repeat of our Winter FunFest from last year. We are excited to announce we will be having a carnival in February. Mark your calendar for Fireside FebFest on Saturday, February 27th! More details to come.

Thank you for your continued support of Fireside and the PTO. We couldn’t do it without you!

** Sugar Rush Bingo Night
Enjoy a free family night out and join us for this popular event on Friday, October 2nd! This year, our theme is Sugar Rush. All prizes will be candy with popsicles being served.

Due to Bingo night’s overwhelming popularity and high attendance, this year’s event will be split into two sessions – an earlier session geared toward younger children and a later session for older kids.

PreK-1st grade will play from 6-7 PM
2nd grade-6th grade will play from 7:30-8:30 PM

We ask that families with multiple age children choose one session to attend. Pizza will NOT be sold this year; plan on using BINGO for dessert! Fireside merchandise will be sold. Contact Julie Gramlich or Sue Yu with any questions.

** Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered on campus this year. We truly couldn’t do it without you. Visit our Volunteer Sign-Ups to see where you can help out around Fireside!
