SHOW “SPARK” AS A HOMEROOM PARENT:
CLASS ROOM FUNDS:
- Classroom funds are to be used to support classroom celebrations and to purchase materials/supplies to support classroom projects and special events. These funds are collected by the PTO; however, they are for classroom use only, not PTO spending.
- Ultimately, teachers are responsible for classroom funds. On occasion, teachers will ask the homeroom parent to purchase materials/supplies to support specific classroom projects/events. In these instances, homeroom parents must use the Class Fund Check Request form to request reimbursement. This form can be accessed via the “Class Party Check Request” button below. This completed form with original receipts stapled to the form must be signed by your teacher and placed in the PTO Treasurer’s box in the workroom.
- This form MUST be signed by both the homeroom parent AND the classroom teacher prior to disbursement of funds.
- Classroom funds are to be used BEFORE asking parents to donate items.

TIP: Use a Google Doc to share a class funds balance sheet between teacher and room parent.
SOME NOTES ABOUT REIMBURSEMENTS:
*Double check that your receipts are attached securely and correctly to your form and placed in the PTO mailbox in the downstairs workroom
*Don’t forget your classroom teacher’s signature on this form
*Turnaround time will be 1-2 weeks for all reimbursements
